Plant Residence Renovation

Located in historic Selma, Alabama, the Plant residence, though still ornately beautiful, was in need of restoration. The owner sought out Cherry McNab Architects for their expertise in historical renovations. There have been multiple additions and changes made to the house over the years and the goal of the architect as well as the owner was to update as necessary while preserving as many of the original elements as possible. Cherry McNab began by carefully documenting each room and then compiling composite plans of both floors. The renovation plans consist of a room-by-room analysis and dimensional drawings depicting each room as it is currently as well as any changes to be performed or suggestions made by the architect.  Along with the renovation plans, compiled in a book form, the owner was also provided a book of all finishes, appliances, fixtures, etc. that will be needed for a complete restoration of the house.
